Momentum Pictures has released the official trailer for Lawrence Michael Levine’s upcoming comedy-thriller film titled Black Bear, featuring Audrey Plaza’s character as she gets in-between a couple while staying at a remote lake house. However, the trailer alludes that everything isn’t what it seems with the trio starting to blur fiction and reality. The film will hit the theaters on Friday, December 4. At a remote lake house, a filmmaker named Allison arrives to play house guest to a troubled couple, who have eschewed their life in the city after inheriting a family retreat. Battling writer’s block, Allison sparks a calculated game of desire and jealousy in pursuit of a new work that blurs the boundaries of autobiography and invention. BLACK BEAR explores the complex nature of relationships, gender dynamics, and the erratic nature of love as it traces the conflict between our lust and our longing for internal harmony.

The film will be led by Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West), Sarah Gadon (Dracula Untold), and Christopher Abbott (Catch-22). It will also feature Lindsay Burdge, Alexander Koch, Jennifer Kim, Shannon O’Neill, Grantham Coleman, Paola Lazaro and Lou Gonzalez.
