Check Out Our Photo Gallery of Batkid Saving Gotham City!

Yesterday was a pretty momentous one for Gotham City as thousands gathered to cheer on young Batkid Miles who, as part of a Make-A-Wish Foundation event, saw San Francisco transformed into the DC Comics city. Donning a cape and cowl, five-year-old Miles took on the Penguin, saved a damsel in distress and was presented with the key to the city.

Although he suffers from leukemia, treatment for Miles is going well and his spirits are surely high after the epically scaled event, one of the largest in Make-A-Wish history. The organization, which does what it can to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, now grants a wish in the United States every 38 minutes. You can read more about Make-A-Wish and donate to their cause at their official site.
