McKenna Grace and Amazon Team Up to Take a Bite Out of Rabbit Cake

According to The Wrap, Annabelle Comes Home star McKenna Grace is teaming up with Amazon to produce and star in an adaptation of Rabbit Cake, based on the debut 2017 novel by Annie Hartnett.

The trade describes the plot as “a dark comedy about a young girl trying to use humor and facts to find her place in the world after her mother suddenly passed away.” Grace will play the young girl named Elvis Babbitt, who has a keen sense of science which she uses to investigate her mother’s death. She also finds comfort among the people and animals inhabiting Freedom, Alabama.

Susan Johnson (To All the Boys I’ve Ever Loved Before) will direct and produce from a script by Allie Hagan.

Grace is quite the hot commodity these days with appearances in Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, I,Tonya, Disney and Marvel’s Captain Marvel, the aforementioned Annabelle Comes Home; and upcoming gigs Ghostbusters 3 and Scoob.
