Chuck Gets 6 More, Scrubs Returns. Dec. 1

NBC has ordered up six more episodes of “Chuck” for midseason!

The network originally picked up 13 episodes of “Chuck” for midseason, and wasn’t expected to bring the series back until March, after the Winter Olympics. But now that it has canceled “Southland,” and “Trauma” appears unlikely to get a back nine order, NBC may be plotting an earlier return.

The third season’s 19 episodes may now kick-off in January.

Meanwhile, ABC has announced that the revamped “Scrubs” will return to the network on December 1. The show will air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. starting that night. For its launch, “Scrubs” will also air a second original episode that night, at 9:30 p.m.

On Dec. 1, “Scrubs” 2.0 will bow behind the animated holiday special “Prep & Landing,” which will air at 8:30 that night. The special features the voice of “Scrubs” star Sarah Chalke.
