Double Booked: Adam Scott Sets Directorial Debut With Star-Filled Cast

Severance star Adam Scott is set to make his directorial debut, helming the thriller Double Booked. Scott will also have a main role in the movie, appearing alongside Zazie Beetz (Atlanta, Joker), Oscar nominee Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us, American Fiction), and Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus Season 1, Mayfair Witches).

According to Deadline, the story of Double Booked centers on a successful self-help writer and his pregnant wife (Beetz). They organize a weekend away at a seduced lodge, where they run into another couple (played by Brown and Daddario) who are already staying at their cabin. Thanks to a blizzard, the two couples are forced to spend the night together. What seems like an innocent booking error is actually revealed to be deception with deadly results.

The movie is written by David Levinson, who previously penned the script for the 2018 thriller Welcome Home, which starred Aaron Paul and Emily Ratajkowski. It’s produced by Adam Goodman and Matt Skiena for Dichotomy Creative Group and Adam Scott and Naomi Scott for Great Scott Productions.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Protagonist and Dichotomy to bring this audacious, crowd-pleasing, white-knuckle thriller to the screen,” shared Scott in a statement. “I’d been looking for something to direct for years, and Double Booked checked all the boxes. Along with our unbelievable cast, I can’t wait to make it and share it with the world.”

Adam Scott’s most famous roles

Scott is currently well-known for his role as Mark in the Apple TV+ thriller Severance, for which he’s received both an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination. In addition to Severance, which recently wrapped filming on season 2, Scott has a recurring part in the Apple TV+ comedy Loot. He also returned for the Party Down revival on Starz and appeared alongside Dakota Johnson in the comic book movie Madame Web.

Scott’s other TV credits include Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, Big Little Lies, and Ghosted. His film roles include The Aviator, Step Brothers, The Disaster Artist, and Little Evil. Though he will be making his feature film directorial debut with Double Booked, Scott has previously directed TV episodes and a short. That includes “Farmers Market”, an episode of Parks and Recreation Season 6.
