Comic-Con 2013: Drones, Accountability and Re-Interpreting RoboCop – An…

Yesterday, Comic-Con attendees got their first look at RoboCop, a reboot of the Paul Herhoeven film starring Peter Weller.  What they saw revealed that this is certainly going to be a different take on the material.  And we can back that up.  After the jump, read our exclusive one-on-one interview with director Jose Padilha.  Inside, he talks about the film’s themes, the creation of RoboCop in the film, and why he has an exposed human hand.

Here’s What the Newly-Designed RoboCop Should Have Stayed With

A sizzle reel of sorts has hit the web featuring the team behind the RoboCop remake talking about the forthcoming film and all that they have in store for it.  It’s a talking heads piece, yes, but it comes armed with an arsenal of concept art and I love that kind of stuff.

Most revealing is concept art for the first suit Alex Murphy wears.  It pays homage to the original and presents something “updated.”
