RoboCop: Rogue City Video Previews RPG Elements in Upcoming FPS

A new RoboCop: Rogue City video is out, previewing some of the more RPG elements set to be included in Nacon’s game when it releases on November 2, 2023.

Make difficult choices and upgrade your character

The new video showcases some gameplay of players battling it out with people as RoboCop, as well as what the game’s skill tree looks like. Completing missions and solving crimes will allow players to upgrade themselves in a variety of stats, including Combat, Armor, Vitality, Engineering, Focus, Scanning, Deduction, and Psychology.

The video also highlights some of the decision-making elements of RoboCop: Rogue City. According to the trailer, there will be “difficult choices” to make based on the players’ sense of justice, whether it be upholding the law to the exact letter or doing what’s best for the public.

Teyon, the developer behind RoboCop: Rogue City, is mostly known for its shooters based on film franchises from the 1980s. It developed Rambo: The Video Game in 2014, an on-rails shooter that was critically panned. According to a report by YouTuber Matt McMuscles, the game was plagued with development issues that ranged from management to marketing to scope, which resulted in an average score of 37. Terminator: Resistance was widely seen as a better title, with a higher average score of 55 and then a 61 for its enhanced version.
