Two More Captain America: Civil War TV Spots Debut, Don Cheadle Talks Fan Reactions

Two More Captain America: Civil War TV Spots Debut

Marvel Studios has released two more Captain America: Civil War TV spots, featuring new bits of footage from the upcoming film. You can check them both out in the player below.

In addition, the New York Daily News caught up with star Don Cheadle who spoke about fan reactions to the film’s trailer, wherein things aren’t looking so great for Jim Rhodes.

“I’m on Twitter, so I’ve gotten a few people going, ‘Rhodey better not be dead, son. I’m going to be so mad.’ Or ‘I’m done with this thing if Rhodey’s dead.’ But that’s cool, I like that people get so upset about it. I like that in a Marvel movie people are able to evoke such emotion.”

Cheadle does go on to say, “It does look bad for Rhodey.”

Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War will debut in theaters on May 6, 2016. The film has a running time of 2 hours and 27 minutes, making it the longest Marvel movie to date.
