Justin Lin’s Fast & Furious 6 has scored another modern action star as Variety reports that The Raid: Redemption‘s Joe Taslim has joined the cast of the franchise sequel. He’ll play a villain named Jah who will have an opportunity to make use of the talent’s martial arts skills.
Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez are confirmed to be returning. New additions to the cast include Gina Carano and Luke Evans.
Details of the plot are currently few, but the trade suggests that the storyline revolves around a European heist and a race against a rival team of criminals.
Fast & Furious 6 is scheduled for release on May 24, 2013.
