Stellan Skarsgård in Talks for Dragon Tattoo

We love Stellan Skarsgård. He’s one of the few actors who has no problem talking about him being cast in a film before it’s officially announced. Back in October of ’09, he revealed he was part of the Thor cast, a long time before it was official, and now he’s given similar quotes to Variety about David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

“I have met Fincher, I want to work with him, he wants to work me. I have had a concrete offer and now we are in negotiations,” Skarsgård said.

He would play Martin Vanger, one of the principal suspects in the 40-year-old disappearance of a teenage girl.

“The contract is for the period September to March, but I don’t know yet when I am supposed to start my part of the film,” he added. “Most of it is to be shot in Stockholm, but some studio work will be done in the U.S. I think there might be some location work there as well, when it becomes too dark to shoot here.”

It was recently made official that Daniel Craig will play journalist Mikael Blomkvist, though who will play hacker Lisbeth Salander is not yet known.
