Drunk Parents Adds Jim Gaffigan, Joe Manganiello and Bridget Moynahan
Five time Golden Globe and Emmy winner Alec Baldwin and Oscar nominee Salma Hayek will be joined by Jim Gaffigan, Joe Manganiello, Bridget Moynahan and Ben Platt in the feature comedy Drunk Parents, to be directed by Fred Wolf (The House Bunny), from a screenplay by Wolf and Peter Gaulke, it was announced by the film’s producers, Robert Ogden Barnum and Aaron L. Gilbert. Principal photography began on Wednesday, January 13 in New York City.
The film is a co-production from Bron Studios and Fortitude International, in association with CW Media Finance. Jason Cloth, Andy Pollack, David Friendly and Fortitude’s Nadine de Barros are serving as Executive Producers. Casting is by Allison Estrin, C.S.A. and Henry Russell Bergstein, C.S.A.
This comedy features Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek as the Teagartens. They are not only drunk with love for their daughter, but also literally drunk the night after dropping her off at college, leading to a bad decision, a kidnapping, and a serious case of mistaken identity. Simultaneously moving and uproariously funny, Drunk Parents becomes a “riches-to-rags-and-trying-to-stay-out-of-jail-while-hoping-your-superficial-friends-don’t-find-out” story of discovering who you really are when you’re at your worst.
Jim Gaffigan starred in “The Jim Gaffigan Show” on TV Land and was seen in the feature Experimenter. Joe Manganiello appears in the soon to be released Tumbledown and the upcoming Pee Wee’s Big Holiday. Bridget Moynahan appears in the popular TV series “Blue Bloods” and appeared in John Wick. Ben Platt known for the hit films Pitch Perfect 1 & 2, will next be seen in Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.
Fortitude International is handling foreign rights to the film. CAA and UTA Independent Film Group are co-representing North American rights.
