One of the many new additions to the cast of Kick-Ass 2 is bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina as Mother Russia, the new bodyguard for Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s Red Mist. IGN has debuted a featurette on the character including interviews from the cast, writer/director Jeff Wadlow, and creator Mark Millar, in addition to new footage from the movie. Check it out below.
In the sequel, after Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)reborn as The Mother F%&*^ronly the blade-wielding Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.
Written and directed by Jeff Wadlow, the film also stars Morris Chestnut and John Leguizamo. Kick-Ass 2 will be released in North American theaters on August 16.
