Plot Summary: In the supernatural thriller "Season of the Witch," Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.

A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl.

When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardizes the knight's pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.

When I first read about this, I thought that it was going to be a stupid remake of Halloween 3: Season Of The Witch, so I shuddered with nausea at the thought of it. Now that I know it's going to be a period piece, I feel a little better. But hopefully Nic Cage will cut his stupid hair and not f*** it up. At least it can't be worse than The Wicker Man! Lol! Nic Cage needs to pray that this next movie won't suck nearly asmuch as the last few he was in.

if Ron Perlman is in it, you can bet he will make this movie interesting. he gives a aaa performance in everything he does. They where smart in putting Perlman in this film. If you watch his new series he steals every scene, just because he is so pure an actor.
