As Glump always said "It'll never work!" The books will be lost in the 90 minute telling of a Disney picture. It needs the loving care of someone in the league (and money) of Peter Jackson. I'll wait and see but I hope I will be surprised in a positive way.

Hey, it could still work. This IS going to be a Pixar project after all. I look forward to their take on the green Martians, the city of Helium and the hurtling moons of Mars.

As far as it is being produced by Dsiney and Pixar it should be great. The bad thing is the fact that we should wait more three years to watch it.

Frazetta, Whelan, Kayanan, Hoffman, Burcham, and others have done excellent work on interpreting EGB's Mars. Please Andrew, Mars is hot! Go with EGB's descriptions and dont put too many clothes on your characters! The books are the best! Lets make Pellucidar next! And Caprona! And Venus!

I've heard that they are going to have a lot of CG animation in the movie. So Stanton is not very far from what he was supposed to do. Hopefully this movie will be as great as the two others created by the director (WALL-E and Finding Nemo). But 3 years is quite a long time to wait.

Dear Lord, do not let this stink up the joint as much as Disney's Tarzan. Please, please, guide these people into trying to stay as faithful as possible to Burroughs' original concepts. If not, then may Disney and Pixar burn in Hell for all eternity for ruining the legacy of one of the best sci-fi authors ever!

It isn't going to be animated. It's live action and I don't recall reading it was Pixar, just from the director of some Pixar films.

Disney has done a great job with Narnia so I hold out hope they do well with this too.
