Becky Lynch Discusses Her Bond with Charlotte Flair

WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are among the top talents in the women’s division of the promotion. They have solidified their positions as potential future Hall of Famers. Both have held the women’s championship multiple times on RAW and SmackDown.

Lynch and Flair debuted together on the main roster in 2015. Their relationship began to strain when they were drafted to different brands in the 2016 draft, and their feud in 2018 further exacerbated their rift, leading to genuine friction between them. Fans are familiar with their controversial segment on SmackDown in 2021.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Becky Lynch discussed her relationship with Flair. Lynch expressed her satisfaction with being in a better place with her former best friend. She stated, “She’s been a huge part of my journey in every capacity and such an important part. As best friends, then enemies, and the fallout. I talk about that [in my memoir] from my perspective, but also the undercurrent of all of it is love, right?”

She further added, “It’s always the people that you love the most that maybe hurt you the most. I know I’ve hurt her and it’s been reciprocal but I think when you can come back from all of that, that’s a special thing. I love that.”

Lynch is pleased to have reconciled with Charlotte Flair and has emphasized that there is nothing but love between her and Flair. They even teamed up for Survivor Series WarGames back in November.

What happened in the infamous WWE SmackDown segment with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair?

In 2021, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair were at the top of their respective brands in WWE. Lynch held the SmackDown Women’s Championship, while Flair held the RAW Women’s Championship. After the WWE draft in 2021, Lynch was drafted to RAW, and Flair was drafted to SmackDown.

During an episode of SmackDown, a highly anticipated women’s title exchange segment was arranged between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. However, the segment took an unexpected turn. Flair didn’t follow the plan and dropped the title on the ground, causing a tense and awkward situation.

Lynch was visibly upset during the segment and recounted the incident where she confronted Flair backstage. In her memoir titled ‘Becky Lynch: The Man – Not Your Average Girl,’ Lynch expressed her frustration and used strong profanity in front of Vince McMahon. However, they have since moved on from that moment, and their relationship is now positive.
