Liv Morgan, former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, has had an impressive career in pro wrestling. Recently, she shared a candid and deeply personal insight into her struggles with Imposter syndrome.
On WWE’s The Bump, Liv Morgan shared how she has grappled with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. She spoke about her humble upbringing without the support of a generational superstar or extensive sports background. She believes it further added to her persistent Imposter syndrome.
Morgan said, “My biggest hurdle was just feeling like I never had the credentials to fulfill what I needed to do here. I came from nothing. … I’m not a generational superstar. I don’t have a crazy sports background. I just loved WWE with every fiber of my being, so I always just felt imposter syndrome, like there’s no way I’ll be good enough.”
However, she aims to inspire young fans by sharing her story and conveying a hopeful message. She said, “I want you to know that I was literally you. I just hope that they look at me and feel that, really. And not just like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can never be that.’ It’s like, ‘No, I promise you. You really, really can.”
Since her return to the Royal Rumble, Morgan has had one goal in mind: to seek revenge on Rhea Ripley, who injured her in the first place.
Liv Morgan’s WWE WrestleMania 40 opponent still a mystery
As WWE gears up for WrestleMania 40, one question looms large for Liv Morgan fans — who will she face in the grandest event of the year? Morgan’s journey to WrestleMania has been filled with challenges, including the undisclosed identity of her opponent in the tournament.
Morgan made a stunning return at the Royal Rumble, joining in as the 30th participant. Despite her valiant effort, she was eliminated by the eventual winner, Bayley. This marked the second consecutive year when Morgan ended up in the final elimination.
After losing in the Women’s Elimination Chamber in February, Morgan’s plans for WrestleMania 40 remain uncertain. She has had notable rivalries during her career, including a recent one with Becky Lynch that saw them reconcile after a match. However, there is still unfinished business with Nia Jax.
The tension between Morgan and Jax escalated when the latter attacked Morgan backstage on WWE RAW. This incident occurred right after Morgan and Lynch had seemingly buried the hatchet. With Morgan still seeking retribution against Jax, it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious in the end.
