Michael Chandler Opens up About WWE Raw Promo

UFC Lightweight Fighter Michael Chandler made waves on the latest edition of WWE RAW. In a surprise appearance, Chandler grabbed the microphone and called out Conor McGregor, urging him to accept the fight.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Chandler revealed that the promo was approved just minutes before going live. He reflected on his experience by stating, “Two minutes before, they said, ‘Hey, they’re going to put the camera on you.’ I said, ‘Why don’t you give me that microphone?’ And they said, ‘Hold on, let me run it up the flagpole real quick.’ And then about a minute later, they said, ‘Hey, you’re going on in a minute and you’re going to get the microphone if you want the microphone,’ and then magic happened…less than five minutes [of notice]. There was nothing prepared. Nothing. I was thrown into the fire. Smacked myself a couple of times and then we went.”

Nevertheless, he impressed both WWE officials and fans alike. After the segment, Chandler met with Triple H, who conveyed WWE’s approval. Chandler hinted at possible future crossovers between UFC and WWE. He stated, “Obviously there’s a crossover there. Ton of respect for the wrestlers, the brass there. They have a ton of respect for the UFC. It was really cool being there, watching other athletes and entertainers and performers, and [them] being huge fans of mixed martial arts, and me of them. So it was really cool. There’s a lot of synergy there and the sky’s the limit when it comes to TKO Group and what we can do in the crossover, and yeah, man, it’s probably just the very beginning.”

It will be intriguing to witness who makes an appearance next in the crossover between WWE and UFC. Furthermore, WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford were present at UFC 298 over the weekend during the Volkanovski vs. Topuria featherweight bout.

Finn Balor reacts to Michael Chandler’s WWE RAW promo

On WWE RAW, UFC Fighter Michael Chandler publicly addressed his frustration over the delay in his fight with an individual from Ireland. This prompted a response from Finn Balor, also hailing from Ireland and serving as the leader of The Judgment Day, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to react. Balor, in a humorous remark, stated that he initially believed Chandler was referring to him.

Since last year, UFC fans have anxiously awaited news regarding the official matchup between Chandler and McGregor. Despite the ongoing anticipation, the fight has not yet been officially announced.
