John Cena Replaces Brock Lesnar on WWE 2K24 Cover

WWE fans received a surprising update regarding the cover of WWE 2K24 by adding John Cena. On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, WWE and 2K Games unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated game. However, it revealed a significant alteration.

In the 40 Years of WrestleMania Edition, John Cena replaced Brock Lesnar on the cover. The alteration involved expanding Cena’s original artwork. This change occurred amidst uncertainty surrounding Lesnar’s WWE status, especially following the implications of a recent sexual assault lawsuit against Vince McMahon. Although Lesnar remained unmentioned in the lawsuit, the Wall Street Journal linked him to the persona of “WWE Superstar.”

Consequently, plans involving Lesnar have been put on hold in WWE. Bron Breakker replaced Lesnar in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble. Lesnar’s highly anticipated matchup with Gunther at WrestleMania 40 has also been canceled. Additionally, Lesnar was reportedly scheduled to compete alongside Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber in Perth this month.

Despite these developments, WWE and 2K Games have not publicly addressed the alteration to the game’s cover by replacing Brock Lesnar with John Cena.

John Cena sends message to WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry’s son

WWE Superstar John Cena recently took to social media to extend his congratulations to Jacob Henry, son of WWE Hall of Famer and AEW personality Mark Henry. While Jacob Henry is carving his path in wrestling, it’s not within the squared circle but in amateur wrestling, where he’s been securing notable victories.

The World’s Strongest Man’s son recently made waves by announcing his commitment to the University of Oklahoma, a significant milestone in his wrestling journey. Cena, known for his supportive nature, shared his excitement for Jacob Henry’s achievement on Twitter.

Check out his tweet below:

Cena has been absent from WWE TV programming since his appearance at Crown Jewel in November. He faced Solo Sikoa and suffered a dominant loss. Sikoa executed 11 Samoan Spikes on him during the match.
