Logan Paul is set to make his WWE return after his win over Dillon Danis on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He now has his sights set on WWE United States Champion Rey Mysterio and is gunning for the US Championship.
Soon after Paul’s comment where he told Mysterio that he had beaten him once and was coming for the title, it was confirmed on Monday’s MMA Hour that the duo would square off on SmackDown this Friday, October 20, 2023. To quickly recap, Paul had emerged the winner the last time these two heavyweights met at WrestleMania 38.
Paul has been on a break from WWE since this past Summer at SummerSlam. He had notched up an electric win over Ricochet. Now, with a win over Danis last weekend in Manchester, England, he is all set to challenge Mysterio who welcomed the challenge.

On his part, Mysterio was surprised when Logan Paul called him out with a challenge, but he also expressed his desire to take on the influencer. Speaking on MMA Today, the ultimate underdog was ready for the fight.
“I was like ‘What did he just say? No way!’ And I had to rewind it,” he told Ariel Helwani in an interview. He further added, “I’m not hard to find. You can find me every Friday night on SmackDown. I can’t wait to see what he has to say.”
These developments come on the back of Paul renewing his contract after his Wrestlemania 39 bout against Seth Rollins. Soon after his extension, the 28-year-old expressed his gratitude for being able to have an extended stint.
“The fact that the organisation believes I’m good enough to continue hopefully building this WWE legacy is mind-blowing,” Paul added. “And I’m incredibly grateful and incredibly blessed. And as long as I can keep putting on good shows, man, I’m gonna keep doing this sport.”
Mark your calendars for Friday for what promises to be one humdinger of a clash.
