Sugar Trailer Previews Colin Farrell-Led Apple TV+ Detective Series

Apple TV+ has revealed a new Sugar trailer for the intense Colin Farrell-led detective series about a private investigator in California. The series is set to debut on the streaming platform on Friday, April 5.

“Sugar is a contemporary, unique take on one of the most popular and significant genres in literary, motion picture, and television history: the private detective story,” reads the series’ description. “Academy Award-nominee Colin Farrell stars as John Sugar, an American private investigator on the heels of the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to determine what happened to Olivia, he will also unearth Siegel family secrets; some very recent, others long-buried.”

The series was created and executive produced by Mark Protosevich and co-executive produced by Adam Arkin. It is also executive produced by Audrey Chon and Simon Kinberg for Genre Films, as well as Sam Catlin, Scott Greenberg, and Chip Vucelich. Finally, Fernando Meirelles executive produces and directed the series.
