Colin Farrell discusses how many seasons Sugar could go on for

Apple TV’s Sugar, featuring Colin Farrell as a private investigator, John Sugar, may be in it for the long haul. The second season arrives on Friday, but the leading star believes the sci-fi show has the potential to expand.

Speaking with Collider, Farrell expressed his ambitions for Sugar to continue beyond Season 2. In fact, he wants it to have five seasons in total.

When asked to tease what fans can expect from Season 2 and beyond in terms of the series’ sci-fi aspects and mythology, the actor said, “It’s explored a little bit more. It’s deepened a little bit more through a certain very important personal relationship that Sugar has. But I would love to get four or five seasons out of this.”

The show’s first season left everyone speechless when Episode 6 revealed a shocking twist. Farrell’s character, who initially was shown to be a Los Angeles private investigator, turned out to be an alien operating on Earth.
