The BBC has released the official Boiling Point trailer for its upcoming British workplace drama about chefs in a fine dining restaurant. The four-episode series is scheduled to make its debut on October 1.
Like the critically-acclaimed Hulu series The Bear, the Boiling Point will also show how intense and chaotic a restaurant kitchen can be as each member of the team feel the crippling pressure to fulfill orders and lift up the restaurant’s reputation. The video introduces the show’s main characters, including Vinette Robinson’s Carly and Stephen Graham’s Andy Jones.

What to expect in Boiling Point?
“Eight months after her mentor Andy Jones suffered a heart attack, head chef Carly is battling to forge a name for new London restaurant Point North alongside her old kitchen crew,” reads the synopsis. “With the pressure to draw in new, hungry customers and the financial squeeze to keep the business profitable, the team must find a way to manage their complicated personal lives whilst creating quality food day in, day out.”
The Boiling Point is written and executive produced by James Cummings, with Philip Barantini serving as the director. The series is a spin-off sequel of the Barantini’s 2021 movie of the same name, which earned Graham as BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
In addition to Robinson and Graham, the series also stars Ray Panthaki as Freeman, Hannah Walters as Emily, Izuka Hoyle as Camille, Cathy Tyson as Vivian, and Stephen Odubola as Johnny Bale. Executive producers are Graham, Barantini, Walters, Hester Ruoff, and Bart Ruspoli, with Graham Drover producing.
