Euphoria Season 2 Gets First Trailer & Release Date

The first official teaser for the highly anticipated second season of Euphoria has been released, along with an official release date set for next year.

In the new trailer, brief shots of Rue (Zendaya) singing and dancing are cut together with some shots from the upcoming season. Alongside the news, HBO also confirmed that Euphoria Season 2 will premiere on January 9, 2022. You can check out the new trailer for the second season below:

After premiering in 2019, Euphoria quickly became a smash hit for HBO. The series focuses on 17-year-old Rue (Zendaya) as she navigates her life while also dealing with love, loss, and addiction. The second season will also star Hunter Schafer, Nika King, Eric Dane, Angus Cloud, Jacob Elordi, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Maude Apatow, Javon Walton, Dominic Fike, Storm Reid, and Austin Abrams.

Euphoria received three Primetime Emmy Awards in 2020, including Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series (Zendaya), Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic), and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

Euphoria is created and written by Sam Levinson, who also serves as executive producer; executive producers Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Zendaya, Drake, Future the Prince, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokady, and Gary Lennon; Will Greenfield serves as a co-executive producer. Produced in partnership with A24 and based on the Israeli series of the same name, which was created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, from HOT.
