Apple TV+ has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of their acclaimed drama series The Morning Show, starring Emmy winner Jennifer Aniston and Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon. The series is scheduled to make its return on Friday, September 17, nearly two years since its debut in 2019.
The video provides us a preview of what to expect in The Morning Show Season 2 including the aftermath of Alex and Bradley’s explosive on-air announcement during the first season finale. It also teases Aniston’s Alex leaving the titular show, with Witherspoon’s Bradley continuing to co-host the titular show while they both deal with the effects of exposing the network’s culture of silence.

The Morning Show is an unapologetically candid drama that looks at the modern workplace through the lens of the people who help wake America up. Pull back the curtain on the early morning TV.
The series currently stars Jennifer Aniston as Alex Levy, Reese Witherspoon as Bradley Jackson, Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison, Steve Carell as Mitch Kessler, Nestor Carbonell as Yanko Flores, Mark Duplass as Chip, Karen Pittman as Mia Jordan, Bel Powley as Claire Conway, Desean Terry as Daniel Henderson, and Jack Davenport as Jason Craig. Season 2 will introduce new cast members including Hasan Minhaj and Julianna Marguiles.

The Morning Show is created and executive produced by Michael Ellenberg (The Leftovers), with Kerry Ehrin serving as the series’ writer. Executive producers are Witherspoon, Aniston, Ehrin, Mimi Leder, Kristin Hahn, Lauren Levy Neudstadter, Adam Milch, and Erica Lipez.
The first season earned three Golden Globe nominations including Best Television Series – Drama and Best Actress for both Witherspoon and Aniston. It also received seven Emmy nominations with Billy Crudup winning Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Cory Ellison.
