Epix has released the official Chapelwaite teaser giving us a first look at Academy Award winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist, Peaky Blinders, The Grand Budapest Hotel) in the upcoming series based on the short story Jerusalem’s Lot by Stephen King. New photos from the horror show were also released, which you can check out in the gallery below!
Set in the 1850s, the series follows Captain Charles Boone (Adrien Brody), who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.

Along with Brody, the series also stars Emily Hampshire as Rebecca Morgan (Schitt’s Creek), previously described as “an ambitious young woman” who left the comforts of home for college and has now returned to write for the prestigious Atlantic Magazine. She is instantly drawn to Brody’s character, and applies to be governess of the infamous Chapelwaite manor so that she may write the next great gothic novel based on his family.
Chapelwaite is executive produced by Donald De Line, Jason Filardi, and Peter Filardi. The series will debut this August.
