Big Shot trailer: John Stamos stars in Disney+’s sports dramedy series
Disney+ has released the official trailer for their upcoming sports-themed comedy drama series titled Big Shot, starring Full House alum John Stamos. The video features Stamos’ Marvyn Korn as he gets demoted from being a renowned college basketball coach to becoming a disgraced high-school basketball coach. However, his road to redemption won’t be easy as it seems, because he’ll soon realized that his old ways of teaching won’t easily worked on his new team. Also starring Jessalyn Gilsig and Yvette Nicole Brown, the series is scheduled to make its debut on Friday, April 16. Check out the video in the player below along with the key art, featuring the main cast!
Big Shot follows Coach Korn who, after getting ousted from the NCAA, is given a chance for redemption with a coaching position at an elite private high school. He soon learns that the teenage players require empathy and vulnerability — foreign concepts for the stoic coach. By learning how to connect with his players, Marvyn starts to grow into the person he’s always hoped to be. The girls learn to take themselves more seriously, finding their footing both on and off the court.
The 10-episodes series stars John Stamos, Jessalyn Gilsig, Yvette Nicole Brown, Richard Robichaux and features a talented group of young actors including Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Monique Green, Tisha Custodio and Cricket Wampler.
Big Shot hails from Disney TV Studios’ ABC Signature. It was created and executive produced by David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey and Brad Garrett with Bill D’Elia also serving as an executive producer.
