The Hardy Boys Trailer Previews Hulu’s Newest TV Adaptation of Mystery Novel Series

Hulu has released the official trailer for their upcoming TV adaptation of The Hardy Boys, based on the long-running mystery novel series which was first created by Edward Stratemeyer. The video introduces us to this generation’s newest versions of brothers Frank and Joe Hardy as they try to solve the mystery concerning their mother and the secrets of their new town Bridgeport. The series will be available for streaming on Friday, December 4. Check out the video in the player below!

In The Hardy Boys series, after a family tragedy strikes, Frank Hardy, 16, and his brother Joe, 12, are forced to move from the big city to their parent’s hometown of Bridgeport for the summer. Staying with their Aunt Trudy, Frank and Joe’s quiet summer quickly comes to a halt when they discover their dad, detective Fenton Hardy has taken on a secret investigation. Realizing that their Dad may be onto something the boys take it upon themselves to start an investigation of their own, and suddenly everyone in town is a suspect.

The series stars Rohan Campbell (Snowpiercer), Alexander Elliot (Locke & Key), Bea Santos (True Detective), and James Tupper (Big Little Lies).

The sixth series adaptation of The Hardy Boys is executive produced by Athena Georgaklis, Joan Lambur, Peter Mohan, Doug Murphy, Jason Stone, and Pam Westman.

First published in 1927, the children’s mystery novel was created by Edward Stratemeyer and is one of the longest-running book franchise which has spawned over 150 novels that were written by different writers. A number of book spinoffs have also been published throughout the years including a crossover series between Nancy Drew and the titular brothers.
