The Flash Can’t Stop What’s Coming In New Season 6 Trailer

The CW has released a brand new trailer for The Flash‘s upcoming sixth season premiere, giving us a preview of the villains that the scarlet speedster must face while he prepares the team for the incoming Crisis. The series is scheduled to return on October 8 with the first episode titled “Into the Void.” Check out the video in the player below!

The official synopsis for the sixth season’s premiere episode reads: “Team Flash spent the last year dealing with not one but two Cicadas, the return of Eobard Thawne (a.k.a. Reverse Flash), and the surprise arrival from the future of Barry and Iris’s daughter Nora West-Allen, (a.k.a. XS). The stakes were higher than ever during the season 5 finale, which culminated in Barry and Iris losing their daughter after only just getting to know her. How will they deal with saying goodbye to their speedster daughter, and what does Thawne’s escape mean for Team Flash?”

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen aka the speedster hero XS, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton with Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West.

Season 6 will feature a new villain in the form Dr. Ramsey Rosso a.k.a DC villain Bloodwork, who will be portrayed by Heroes vet Sendhil Ramamurthy. His character is being described as a brilliant physician with a genius intellect, and the world’s leading expert on hematological oncology. A former colleague of S.T.A.R. Labs’ Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Rosso rekindles their friendship after they are reunited by an unexpected event. But their longtime bond is quickly shattered when the doctor’s desire to defy the laws of nature takes him down a dark path…one that transforms Rosso from an old friend into the most chilling villain Team Flash has ever faced: the monstrous Bloodwork.
