Dax Shepard and Lake Bell head to the farm in Bless This Mess first look
ABC has released the first trailer to its upcoming fish out of water series Bless This Mess, starring Dax Shepard (Parenthood), and Lake Bell (Spider-Men: Into the Spider-Verse). The show looks like a cross between Green Acres and The Money Pit, which could be a good thing if the comedy works. Check out the trailer in the player below!
Bless This Mess is a single camera comedy that is set to shoot in June. It’s the story about a newlywed couple who move to Nebraska to live a simple life after their lives in New York become too much. Shepard will play the husband Mike and Bell will play the wife, Rio.
Shepard is known for his work in the NBC series Parenthood where he played Crosby Braverman. He wrote, directed and starred in the film version of the TV series CHIPS. He’s also been seen in films like Without a Paddle, Idiocracy, Employee of the Month, Baby Mama and This Is Where I Leave You.
Bell directed the pilot episode for Bless This Mess, and also executive produced the series alongside Shepard and New Girl creator Liz Meriwether.
Bless This Mess premieres Tuesday, April 16 on ABC.
