Connie Nielsen Cast in Dick Wolf’s CBS Drama FBI

Connie Nielsen (Wonder WomanGladiator) has just signed on to co-star in Dick Wolf’s drama series FBI alongside Zeeko Zaki (ValorNCIS: Los Angeles). CBS ordered 13 episodes for the series, with the pilot being shot in the spring and the rest of the episodes in the summer.

The show takes a deep dive into the hectic, high-stakes world of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Nielsen will play the role of Ellen, FBI Special Agent in Charge and deeply respected boss of the NY office. She is elegant, cultured, and operates under massive political, public, and self-imposed pressure. She deals by being highly organized and disarmingly direct. She’ll do anything for her agents who earn it, and is impossible to intimidate.

Nielsen has worked with Wolf before on Law & Order: SVU as Detective Dani Beck, so she’s no stranger to performing hard-nosed, law-enforcing agents. Not too far off from those roles is her big screen portrayal of Queen Hippolyta in the DC movies Wonder Woman and Justice League.

Nielsen will also be in One Day She’ll Darken, a TNT drama to be executive produced and directed by Patty Jenkins. Rounding out the Wonder Woman reunion is Chris Pine (A Wrinkle in TimeStar Trek Beyond) starring as the lead for the show.

FBI is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Craig Turk, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski. Universal Television and CBS Television Studios are producing the show.

Expect FBI to premiere in the 2018-2019 TV season.
