Seth Rogen made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday and discussed, among other things, his colonoscopy. He spoke about how the experience could have been a nightmare due to his celebrity status.
Seth Rogen explained his oddly specific concern about his first colonoscopy
Rogen appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about his movie The Invite. During the exchange, he and guest host Ike Barinholtz discussed an array of things. Barinholtz brought up that the 44-year-old actor has undergone a colonoscopy by jokingly noting that Rogen recently made another on-camera appearance. Rogen confirmed that he did before laughing and praising that Barinholtz used a “good segue.” He added, “That was a 10 out of 10.”
When asked if he was comfortable with strangers looking at such an intimate part of his body, Rogen responded, “I think as someone who’s recognizable or famous, it’s a little… I don’t know if it’s worse or weirder. They know who you are. And I think, as a celebrity, nine times out of 10, you get way better service, I would say, than someone who isn’t famous.”
Rogen then accentuated the flip side to all this. “But one time out of 10 I’ll have a waiter who’s really nervous and just completely messes up my whole order. And that’s what you are afraid of at the colonoscopy.” Rogen jokingly noted that “you don’t want a guy who’s too big of a fan.”
Barinholtz then hilariously played up the idea of an overly excited fan, rubbing his hands together and declaring, “I’ve been waiting for this my whole life.” He also reflected on his time portraying Nurse Morgan Tookers on The Mindy Project and how the role influenced his interactions with healthcare professionals, joking about what they might think while performing his own colonoscopy.
Notably, Barinholtz is one of the guest hosts who has replaced Kimmel during the latter’s two-month break.
