The action-comedy series brings assassin chaos to Prime Video
Ride or Die is now streaming on Prime Video, with all eight episodes available from today. Tessa Coates created the series and assembled an experienced creative team. The group includes showrunner Matt Miller and director Peyton Reed.
The series stars Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer as best friends Judith Burton and Debbie Claybourne. Their lives are turned upside down after a shocking secret comes to light.
Debbie thought she knew everything about Judith after years of friendship. However, she soon discovers that Judith has been living a double life as an international assassin. Their lives become even more troubled when someone from Judith’s past returns and a mission goes terribly wrong.
According to Prime Video’s official synopsis, the pair are forced to go on the run together as they race across Europe. They find themselves chased by law enforcement, trained assassins, and dangerous criminals while trying to survive and uncover the truth.
The series mixes thrilling action with comedy as the two friends face one unexpected challenge after another. The trailer also gives a glimpse of the strong chemistry between Waddingham and Spencer. It also includes several funny moments and balances the high adventures.
Peyton Reed directed the first two episodes, along with DeMane Davis, Allison Liddi-Brown, and Lauren Wolkstein.
Both Waddingham and Spencer are best known for their other comedy and drama. However, Ride or Die gives them a chance to showcase their action and comedy skills together. With plenty of action, humor, and a strong friendship at its heart, the whole series is now live on Prime Video.
