AMC’s The Audacity just dropped major news about its highly anticipated second season that fans won’t want to miss. The network revealed key production updates and exciting cast additions for the satirical drama’s return.
The Audacity Season 2 begins production
AMC Global Media confirmed on June 18 that Season 2 of The Audacity has officially entered production. The critically acclaimed satirical drama is now filming its eight-episode second season in Vancouver, Canada. Viewers can expect the new season to arrive on AMC and AMC+ sometime in 2027.
The series comes from Emmy Award-winning showrunner Jonathan Glatzer, whose credits include Succession and Better Call Saul. Furthermore, Gina Mingacci, known for her work on Killing Eve, returns as executive producer alongside Glatzer. The Audacity is an AMC Studios production, and AMC Global Media holds worldwide rights to the series.
Meanwhile, Billy Magnussen leads the ensemble cast as Duncan Park, an audacious data-mining CEO chasing profit and power. Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, and Simon Helberg round out the core cast. Meaghan Rath, Paul Adelstein, Everett Blunck, Thailey Roberge, and Ava Marie Telek also return for the new season.
Notably, two major casting updates accompany the production announcement for the sophomore run. Miriam Shor joins in a heavily recurring role as Randy Flemming, described as “a shrewd and unintimidated FBI Agent who enjoys the hunt like a cat relishes playing with a mouse.” Additionally, Jess McLeod has been elevated to series regular, reprising their role as Harper, the pink-haired Chief Technology Officer of data-mining startup P.I.N.A.T.A.
Ultimately, the show tackles the warped dreams and ethical lapses of Silicon Valley’s self-styled inventors. It explores a world populated by jaded billionaires, bio-hacked tech bros, and disillusioned teens in elite schools. IndieWire praised the show’s trajectory, stating that “The Audacity has all the makings of a series primed to explode in Season 2.”
