One of Disney+‘s popular TV shows starring Emmy Award winner Stanley Tucci has finally returned, nearly a year after wrapping up its 5-episode first season. Beginning today, all new episodes of Tucci in Italy Season 2 are now officially available to stream on Disney+.
What do we know about Stanley Tucci’s Tucci in Italy Season 2?
Tucci in Italy Season 2 features the fan-favorite actor exploring five new regions of Italy where he’ll cook and eat delicious food with locals. The show was initially described as a follow-up to Tucci’s CNN docuseries Searching for Italy, which lasted for two seasons from 2021 to 2022.
“In Season 2, Tucci visits new regions, including Le Marche, a lesser-known destination he’s never featured before. Located in central Italy along the Adriatic coast, the region’s rich culinary delights have largely escaped the attention of international tourists,” reads the show’s new logline. “In Campania and its famed capital, Naples, he celebrates a once-forgotten vine grape, and in Veneto, he deliciously wades into the passionate culinary debate over the origins of tiramisu. Stanley also explores two very different Islands: Sardinia, where he looks into the relationship between food and longevity, and Sicily, where multicultural history has left a delicious mark on its food.”
Tucci in Italy is executive-produced by Tucci and Lottie Birmingham for Salt Productions, Amanda Lyon for BBC Studios, Ben Jessop, and Yari Lorenzo for National Geographic. Following its debut in 2025, Season 1 was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special. The show currently has a perfect approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Before this, Tucci most recently reprised his roles in Prime Video’s Citadel Season 2 and in The Devil Wears Prada 2 movie.
