Netflix has officially dropped a new poster for One Piece Season 2, giving fans their first tease of Joe Manganiello’s take on Sir Crocodile. This shadowy reveal sets the arc for the Straw Hat crew’s most intimidating challenge yet.
First tease of Joe Manganiello’s Crocodile in One Piece Season 2
Season 1 of Netflix’s live-action adaptation introduced memorable villains, including Alvida, Buggy the Clown, Dracule Mihawk, and Arlong. One Piece Season 2 pushes the story further by unleashing the Baroque Works syndicate, a ruthless group of assassins led by Sir Crocodile. The newly revealed poster places Crocodile alongside the core Straw Hat protagonists and other looming threats, underlining his importance to the upcoming arc.
The poster itself keeps things mysterious. It shows a shadowy outline of Joe Manganiello’s Crocodile, with his massive hook dominating the foreground. This iconic weapon replaces his left hand and conceals a deadly poison needle, making it one of his most dangerous tools.
Beyond the hook, Joe Manganiello’s Sir Crocodile stands out as a fearsome Devil Fruit user. He wields the Sand-Sand Fruit, which allows him to create, control, and even transform into sand. These powers make him nearly untouchable against standard attacks and enable him to dehydrate people and entire environments with ease. For the Straw Hat crew, this presents a threat unlike anything they have faced so far.
The poster also hints at a screen-accurate look. In the anime, Crocodile is known for his broad-shouldered build and elegant, mafia-inspired wardrobe. Manganiello’s silhouette suggests a similar inner suit, reassuring fans that the live-action design remains faithful to the original.
In a March 2025 interview with Parade, Manganiello explained what excites him about the role, “What I love is that there are so many different spices put into the jambalaya mix. You know, I am missing an arm. And other characters in the canon are missing limbs, and they have things in common with why they are missing those limbs.”
One Piece Season 2, officially titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, will premiere on March 10 on Netflix.
