Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein has found his first major TV project as a main lead after gaining recognition for his acclaimed performance in the hit Apple TV show Ted Lasso. Goldstein is set to play a male escort in the upcoming comedy series Escorted, which has officially received an eight-episode series order at Amazon Prime Video.
What do we know about Brett Goldstein’s Escorted series?
“A divorced dad (Goldstein) in Manhattan accidentally becomes a male escort in this romantic comedy about second chances, the mayhem of co-parenting, and whether real intimacy can ever be bought,” reads the initial logline.
According to Variety, Escorted will be written and executive-produced by Goldstein, who is also serving as co-showrunner with Brian Gallivan. The latter is also currently working with Goldstein in the popular Apple TV show Shrinking, which is set to return for its third season in 2026. The new show is executive-produced by Gallivan, Cooper Wehde, Josh Senior, and Molly Mandel. It hails from Warner Bros. Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
Goldstein’s most recent acting credit was last year’s Shrinking Season 3, in which he played the recurring role of Louis Winston. At the moment, Goldstein is in production for Ted Lasso Season 4, where he’ll be reprising his fan-favorite role as Roy Kent. He is also currently attached to star in two upcoming movies, including Kornél Mundruczó’s drama movie At the Sea with Amy Adams, and Ol Parker’s romantic comedy movie Office Romance with Jennifer Lopez.
