The ABC Television Network announced today highlights of its upcoming premieres, specials and regular series programming scheduled to air during the May sweep. Here is the line-up:
“JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE” (MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 12:05 a.m. 1:05 a.m.) In a special episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” airing TUESDAY, MAY 15, Jimmy hosts an entire show direct from a Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, picking up guests along the bus route. Scheduled to appear throughout the May sweep is an all-star lineup that includes Cameron Diaz, Geoffrey Rush, Danica Patrick, Carmen Electra, Evangeline Lily, Sarah Silverman, David Spade, Garry Marshall, and the latest eliminated celebrities from “Dancing with the Stars,” as well as performances by Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park, Macy Gray, Alexa Ray Joel, Kaiser Chiefs, The Used and The Bravery.
“UGLY BETTY” THURSDAY, APRIL 26 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) “Petra-gate” Betty, fed up with Daniel, Christina and Henry and how they’ve all disappointed her, does her best to avoid all three. But love is all around at Mode, as Alexis gets asked out on her first date as a woman; Amanda begins a flirtation with a designer she assumes is gay; Wilhelmina struggles to deal with the tireless advances of her latest conquest, and Hilda gets a surprise from Santos. Meanwhile, Daniel goes it alone in dealing with the aftermath of his one-time hook-up with Petra. Guest starring Cristin de la Fuente (“The Class,” Univisin’s “Soar No Cuesta Nada”) as Rodrigo, Alexis’ admirer, and Ivana Milicevic (“Casino Royale”) as Lena.
“GREY’S ANATOMY” THURSDAY, APRIL 26 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) — “Desire” As the interns of Seattle Grace cram for their upcoming exam, the attendings vie for the Chief’s position by tending to the chairman of the hospital board after he’s admitted as a patient. Meanwhile, Burke struggles to involve Cristina in the wedding planning, things heat up between Addison and Alex, and Derek questions his relationship with Meredith.
“OCTOBER ROAD” SEASON FINALE THURSDAY, APRIL 26 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) — “Best Friend Windows” Aubrey suspects Nick still has feelings for Hannah and wants him to choose between the two of them, but then Nick meets an unexpected out of town visitor at Hannah and Sam’s. Meanwhile, Nick and the guys give Eddie what they thought would be a welcome surprise, but Eddie surprises them with an unpredictable response; Ray continues his mission to destroy the gang by telling Owen about Ikey and Alison’s secret; and Physical Phil makes a life-changing decision to get Pizza Girl (Lindy Booth) back and asks for Owen’s help.
“EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION” SUNDAY, APRIL 29 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) “Collins Family” — Ty and the gang surprise the Collins family from Murfreesboro, AR, with the good news that their deteriorating, single-story home will be renovated to meet the needs of their recently enlarged family in a remarkable seven days.
“DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES” SUNDAY, APRIL 29 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) “Gossip” Gaby’s engagement party is the background for an unexpected announcement, the neighborhood is full of gossip about the dead body found in a Wisteria Lane home, and Susan decides between Ian and Mike.
“BROTHERS & SISTERS” SUNDAY, APRIL 29 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET) “Bad News” Sarah finds it very difficult to get past her husband’s alleged indiscretions with another woman, and Kitty and Robert reach an impasse as the shock of a tragic accident sinks in. Peter Coyote guest stars as Nora’s romantic interest, Mark August.
“THE BACHELOR: OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN” MONDAY, APRIL 30 (9:45-11:00 p.m., ET) — “Episode 1005” Now the pressure is really on, as Andy Baldwin struggles to decide which four women he will escort home to meet their family and friends. But first one lucky bachelorette experiences a fairytale date with the handsome Bachelor, complete with million dollar jewels and a glamorous dress. Another lady sets out on a very sensuous individual date with the Lieutenant, as they create their own blend of wine. On the only group date, four women join Andy in a charity project, transforming a rundown Los Angeles elementary school playground into a safe haven for kindergarten kids, which may change his perspective on the bachelorettes. And in a “Bachelor” first, two of the remaining women decide to sneak into Andy’s deliberation room at the cocktail party. By night’s end, he must narrow the field to the four women who will invite him into their families’ homes while two leave brokenhearted. Chris Harrison hosts.
“GEORGE LOPEZ” TUESDAY, MAY 1 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) — “George’s Bogey-ous Relationship with Vic is Putt to the Test” Vic feigns fatherly love so George will play in a father-son golf tournament against his long time rival and his son, Tony (guest starring Oscar De La Hoya).
“BOSTON LEGAL” TUESDAY, MAY 1 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) — “Tea and Sympathy” Shirley Schmidt takes on the case of a man who was spontaneously cured of HIV and is trying to maintain legal ownership of his blood. Meanwhile, when ex-flame Judge Weldon calls on Alan Shore to defend her in a drug case, Alan finds himself having to fend off Denny Crane who is smitten with the sexy judge. Also, Clarence Bell goes up against Jerry Espenson when a girl is kicked out of a sorority for being socially awkward, and Brad Chase’s desire to have a military wedding doesn’t go over well with Denise Bauer.
“ACCORDING TO JIM” WEDNESDAY, MAY 2 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) — “Devlin in Disguise” — When Tim and Cindy Devlin crash Gracie’s birthday party, they announce they’re getting divorced. Soon thereafter, Cindy and Andy become an item — resulting in Jim and Cheryl plotting to break the two up.
“NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY” WEDNESDAY, MAY 2 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) — “Julie and Eric’s Baby” An ordinary trip to the mall for makeup becomes extraordinary when Julie’s water prematurely breaks, sending her into labor but not without her cosmetics in tow. While Eric rushes home from a business trip to be present for their baby’s birth, Julie enlists the help of her friends, Andrew and Lauren, who abruptly abandon their weekend getaway — while Danny ensures that their hotel, spa appointments and romantic plans do not got to waste. Having read every book on pregnancy he could get his hands on, Andrew offers Julie some valuable, if not humorous, advice while she’s in labor. Meanwhile, a less than thrilled Cooper reluctantly agrees to capture the birth on video.
“LOST” WEDNESDAY, MAY 2 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) — “The Brig” A newly focused Locke breaks away from “The Others” in an attempt to persuade Sawyer to help rid them of a great nemesis that has caused nothing but pain in both of their lives. Meanwhile, a new island inhabitant discloses some shocking information about Oceanic Flight 815.
“UGLY BETTY” THURSDAY, MAY 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) “Secretaries Day” Betty struggles to come up with the cash to solve the latest Suarez family dilemma, all while planning Mode’s big assistants week bash at a medieval themed restaurant, a place with an unlikely link to Amanda’s past. Meanwhile, Daniel tries to heed Betty’s advice about his sexual addiction issues; Alexis considers Rodrigo’s offer (guest star Cristin de la Fuente); Hilda faces a tough cosmetology school exam, and Wilhelmina becomes even bolder in her plans for total Mode domination.
“GREY’S ANATOMY” THURSDAY, MAY 3 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) — “The Other Side of This Life” Addison takes temporary leave from Seattle Grace and makes a road trip to Los Angeles in order to visit some old friends from medical school. As Meredith continues to bond with her stepmother, Susan, Cristina reluctantly plans her wedding with the assistance of her mother, Helen, and Burke’s mother, Mama Jane. Meanwhile, Derek must perform emergency surgery on Ava/Jane Doe, as Alex continues his unfailing bedside manner with her. Featuring an all-star guest cast including Paul Adelstein (“Prison Break”), Amy Brenneman (“Judging Amy”), Tim Daly (“The Fugitive,” “The Nine”), Taye Diggs (“Rent,” “Day Break”), Merrin Dungey (“Alias”) and Chris Lowell (“Veronica Mars”). The legendary Diahann Carroll returns as Preston Burke’s mother, Jane, and Elizabeth Reaser (“Sweet Land”) returns as Ava/Jane Doe.
“EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION” SUNDAY, MAY 6 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) — “Kilgallon Family” — Ty and the gang will build a new home for Marynoel Kilgallon and her four children, of Levittown, PA, who’ve been living in the dining room of Marynoel’s parents’ home.
“DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES” SUNDAY, MAY 6 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) — Susan gets lost in the woods trying to find Mike, Gaby winds up in jail, and Lynette realizes she loves another man. Guest starring John Slattery as Victor Lang.
“BROTHERS & SISTERS” SUNDAY, MAY 6 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET) — “Grapes of Wrath” A celebration of Tommy’s new business venture turns to chaos, and Nora takes Holly to task when she gets just a bit too close. Peter Coyote guest stars as Nora’s romantic interest, Mark August.
“THE BACHELOR: OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN” MONDAY, MAY 7 (9:31-11:00 p.m., ET) — Episode 1006″ Andy begins his wild voyage across the country to visit the remaining four bachelorettes’ hometowns. One woman’s fun-loving family teaches the Lieutenant the art of belly dancing, while another set of skeptical parents puts him through the ringer, as he tries to win them over and capture their daughter’s elusive heart. One bachelorette panics about whether her family will agree to meet Andy, leaving her in tears, and the Bachelor quite concerned. Finally, one woman takes a real risk, catching Andy completely off guard when she reveals an important secret from her past. “GEORGE LOPEZ” SEASON FINALE TUESDAY, MAY 8 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) — In the first half of the Finale, “George Thinks Max’s Future Is on the Line,” George puts Max to work at the factory to emphasize the importance of education. In the second half, “George Decides to Sta-Local Where It’s Familia,” a multi-millionaire (special guest star Edward James Olmos as Mr. Vega) buys Powers Aviation and asks George to stay on board if he’s willing to consider making some major life changes. Meanwhile, Benny’s long lost love (guest starring Jerry Springer as Wayne) finally gives her a chance at happily ever after.
“BOSTON LEGAL” TUESDAY, MAY 8 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) — “Guantanamo by the Bay” Alan Shore sues the United States on behalf of a client who was tortured for two years at a detention camp. Meanwhile, Jerry Espenson begs Shirley Schmidt to let him have his job back at the firm — despite the fact that he’d once tried to kill her — and Claire defends a lawyer who committed a sexual assault after hearing a prank radio program proclaiming the world was coming to an end. “ACCORDING TO JIM” WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) — “Any Man of Mine” To avoid attending another musical with Cheryl, Jim finds Cheryl a gay male friend to accompany her.
“NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY” WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) — “Mother’s Milk” Andrew and Lauren are in disagreement over the importance of breastfeeding; Lauren isn’t convinced it’s necessary, while Andrew is absolutely adamant about it. He claims being a breastfed baby is what has made him the success he is today. That is, until a visit from his mom exposes the truth about his upbringing. Meanwhile, Julie and Eric struggle to reconnect after the birth of Baby Perry, and Cooper falls for a handsome, model-perfect mall employee who she mistakenly thinks is all brawn and no brains.
“LOST” WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) — “The Man Behind the Curtain” Ben begrudgingly begins to introduce Locke to the secrets of the island, beginning with the mysterious Jacob. Meanwhile, Juliet’s secret goes public.
“UGLY BETTY” THURSDAY, MAY 10 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) — “A Tree Grows in Guadalajara” Betty and her family go to Guadalajara to solve Ignacio’s immigration problems, and Betty questions her Aunt Mirta (Oscar, Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Rita Moreno) and cousin Clara about her late mother. Meanwhile, Alexis gets a visit from Jordan (guest star Rebecca Gayheart), the woman she dated before her “death” and operation; Marc is jealous when Amanda seemingly has a new best gay friend in Tavares, and Wilhelmina gives the new man in her life a makeover.
“GREY’S ANATOMY” THURSDAY, MAY 10 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) — “Testing 1-2-3” The interns take the biggest test of their careers, their first-year medical exams, as the residents attend to three injured mountain climbers. Meanwhile Callie’s suspicions of George and Izzie grow, and Cristina struggles to write her wedding vows.
“TRAVELER” SPECIAL PREVIEW THURSDAY, MAY 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) — How well do you know your friends? Would you bet your life on it? That’s the question in “Traveler,” an action-packed drama series that taps into 21st century paranoia with provocative themes, complex characters and pure adrenaline-fueled entertainment. “THE BACHELOR: OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN” MONDAY, MAY 14 (9:31-11:00 p.m., ET) “Episode 1007” Three special bachelorettes visit Andy’s current home state of Hawaii for romantic overnight dates on the lush island of Kauai. First however, the Lieutenant takes all three women to visit a place of great significance to him — the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor — where they tour the monument and he shares the sacrifice a Navy officer’s wife might have to make. Andy’s first dreamy date starts with a pulse-racing course of zip-lines high above the jungle floor, and ends with a romantic evening sipping champagne on a moonlit hammock. The second bachelorette joins Andy on a catamaran for a day of whale watching and snorkeling. Later that night, Andy invites a surprise guest to join him and his date at dinner, which leaves this bachelorette speechless. His third and final date begins with an adventurous kayaking trip, followed by a jungle hike and sexy swim beneath a waterfall. For dinner, the two have their own private luau, but then Andy hits the woman with some tough questions to help him get closer to his final decision. Meanwhile, Jerry Espenson defends a woman who is being evicted from her apartment because of her pet duck who serves as emotional support to help her anxiety, and Alan is puzzled when he discovers that Denny Crane has the Stanley Cup in his possession.

As she begins to experience the byproducts of pregnancy fatigue and forgetfulness Andrew lovingly picks up the slack. Ultimately this gets them both into trouble when he inadvertently advises a student to put off college. Meanwhile, Julie and Cooper discover the only thing they really have in common is Lauren.
“LOST” WEDNESDAY, MAY 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) — “Greatest Hits” While Jack devises a plan to do away with “The Others” once and for all, Sayid uncovers a flaw in “The Others'” system that could lead to everyone’s rescue. But it requires Charlie to take on a dangerous task that may make Desmond’s premonition come true.
