Vanderpump Rules Season 12 Delayed

Vanderpump Rules Season 12 Delayed by Bravo, Report Suggests

As Season 11 nears its final episodes on Bravo, it has been suggested that Vanderpump Rules Season 12 will likely be delayed. It looks like fans might have to wait a bit longer for Season 12 as reports hint at a delay in the show’s development. This might push the release of Season 12 further than expected.

Vanderpump Rules Season 12 filming delayed over the summer

After Season 11 ends, Vanderpump Rules Season 12 could take a while to return due to a filming delay. The window between Seasons 10 and 11 was much shorter. Season 10 ended on June 14, 2023, and Season 11 aired its first episode on January 30, 2024.

However, according to Deadline, a source close to the cast revealed that production has been pushed back on Season 12. The show will supposedly abandon the summer window, which is its regular filming schedule for most seasons. Even Season 11 was shot through the summer of 2023.

The series generally shoots its forthcoming seasons during the summer. This is to help the shoot coincide with the gay pride events in West Hollywood. This results in great business for Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants, TomTom and Sur.

But TMZ, which first broke the news of the delay, revealed that the summer break in 2024 is to provide the cast members a break after the events involving Tom Sandoval’s “Scandoval.”

Season 11 began filming right after Sandoval’s affair with his girlfriend Ariana Madix’s best friend, Rachel Leviss, was made public. This didn’t give the group very long to process the bombshell.

Another reported reason for Season 12’s production delay is to allow Madix to return from Fiji after hosting Love Island Season 6. But there’s good news for fans of the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, The Valley. The filming schedule for this series will apparently not be affected.

Its potential Season 2 could be released on time after Season 1 ends later this month. Even a few Vanderpump Rules cast members could show up in the spin-off, now that they have more time on their hands due to the hiatus.
