What do we know about Wednesday Season 2?

The first season of Wednesday — created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, based on the Wednesday Addams character by Charles Addams — released on Netflix in November 2022.

Starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character, the cast of Wednesday Season 1 includes Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems, Riki Lindhome as Dr. Valerie Kinbott, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Jamie McShane as Donovan Galpin, Christina Ricci as Marilyn Thornhill, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, George Burcea as Lurch, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.

In January 2023, Netflix officially renewed Wednesday for a second season. Plot details remain under wraps at this time, though Variety notes the new season will see Ortega “return as the titular Addams Family daughter going through her teenage years.”

Ortega also previously teased that the new season of Wednesday would feature both more horror and action compared to the first season. “It’s really, really exciting because, all throughout the show, while Wednesday does need a little bit of an arc, she never really changes, and that’s the wonderful thing about her,” she told  Live From E! host Laverne Cox in January 2024.

Netflix has not yet announced a release date for Wednesday Season 2. The first season is currently streaming.
