Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 Release Date Pushed Back

FX has changed the premiere date for the third season of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham. Per Deadline’s report, Season 3 is set to premiere on May 2 — over a week later than its original April 18 release date.

FX has not given a specific reason for pushing the release date back for Welcome to Wrexham Season 3. After the next installment’s premiere on FX, it will stream the next day on Hulu

What is Welcome to Wrexham about?

Billed as “an underdog story the world can root for,” the Emmy Award-winning series centers on the British football team run by Reynolds and McElhenney as they navigate the English Football League.

The Season 2 finale saw the team getting promoted into League Two, so viewers can expect the third season to witness the Wrexham A.F.C. continuing their journey into getting another promotion and, hopefully, getting closer to making it into the Premier League.

“Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds run Wrexham Football Club as they try to create an underdog story the world can root for. From Hollywood to Wales, the docuseries tracks their crash course in ownership and the interwoven fates of a team and a town,” the synopsis reads.

Who’s involved in Welcome to Wrexham?

McElhenney and Reynolds also serve as Welcome to Wrexham’s executive producers, alongside Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Humphrey Ker, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Andy Thomas.

The documentary series is produced by More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures.

Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 premieres on May 2. While you wait, you can revisit the first two episodes on Hulu and Disney+
