Frasier: Kelsey Grammer Believes Revival Has a Home at Paramount+ for ‘Years to Come’

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer has spoken about what he believes the future of the Paramount+ revival will be.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Grammer was asked what fans could look forward to in a potential second season of the revival. Though the show hasn’t been renewed on Paramount+ yet, the actor said that he believes Frasier will “have a home” on the streaming platform for a good while.

“We haven’t really cracked a storyline yet for season two,” Grammer explained. “We haven’t really gotten into that stuff, but we probably will fairly soon. I believe we have a home at Paramount+ for several years to come, and we certainly have several ideas for it. It’s just what’s fleshing out, and we’re not sure yet because the writers went on strike, then the actors stayed on strike, and everything just sort of stalled. At least we got the episodes in under the wire before we had to just lock down.”

What is the new Frasier series about?

“Frasier is off to a different city with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill,” reads the revival’s logline. “Frasier has re-entered the building!”

The original Frasier series ran on-air for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004. It earned a total of 108 Emmy nominations and won 37 of them, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Kelsey Grammer’s performance as Frasier Crane. Additionally, the series also earned Grammer two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor.
