The Bear Creator Sets Next Series at FX

The Bear creator Christopher Storer has set his next series at FX, as The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the network has landed the rights to the upcoming Sarah Harman novel All the Other Mothers Hate Me. It’s mentioned that the project landed at FX after a bidding war that involved more than a dozen companies.

What’s known about All the Other Mothers Hate Me

The story follows an American woman who suspects her son may have killed a wealthy student at his private West London school. The book is expected to be released in 2025.

Harman, a London-based journalist, has covered major news stories for over a decade, most recently as a foreign correspondent for NBC News. Her upcoming novel drew a lot of interest at the recent Frankfurt Book Fair, which is the world’s largest trade fair for books, and it’s expected that she will adapt All the Other Mothers Hate Me under Storer’s supervision.

The news of the adaptation comes as Storer has other projects lined up, including The Winter of Frankie Machine, an adaptation of the 2006 Don Winslow novel, for Paramount Pictures. The Bear Season 3 is also expected to be renewed, given its popularity.

The Bear, led by Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, has been a big hit. The half-hour dramedy has soared in viewership while nabbing 13 Emmy nominations. That includes Outstanding Comedy Series. The show also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson.
