Giancarlo Esposito Teases Moff Gideon’s The Mandalorian Return

The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito has teased that his character, Moff Gideon, will be returning to the popular Disney+ series in the near future.

On a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Esposito revealed that “the odds are good” that Moff Gideon will be in the series soon and that he filmed so long ago that he can’t remember which episode he might appear in.

“The odds are good you’re going to see me soon. That’s all I can say,” Esposito teased. “The show is just a fantastic show to be on. They want the audience to be in anticipation, and wonder, and joy, and excitement. I did it so long ago that — I’ve got to be honest with you — I can’t even remember. I don’t remember when I’m on.”

“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu,” says the synopsis. “Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”

Season 3’s directorial lineup includes returning filmmakers Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, and Bryce Dallas Howard, along with Star Wars newcomers Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison.

The Mandalorian hails from executive producers Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck. Favreau is also set as the showrunner.
