Split in two halves, The Third Day on HBO Max is a thriller series set on Osea, a mysterious island off the British coast. The first half follows Sam (Jude Law) who, enraptured by its picturesque landscape, finds himself unable to leave. But leave he must in order to save himself from the island’s rituals. The second half is about Helen (Naomie Harris), a single mother who comes to the island with her daughters for a birthday trip but soon gets embroiled in a power battle.
