Daredevil's Cameo in She-Hulk Won't Be as Dark as Netflix Series

Charlie Cox Got Goosebumps Seeing Daredevil’s New Suit

When Charlie Cox appeared in the Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, his Daredevil was sporting an entirely new suit — one that was mostly yellow and harkened back to the character’s comic book roots.

Speaking to Variety in a recent interview, Cox explained the new look, saying that he initially thought he would just be wearing his old suit from the Netflix Daredevil series. During the fitting, Cox also saw concept art for what would later be the costume he’d wear in the series.

“When we were getting ready to shoot it, they took me out to Los Angeles to have a suit fitting, which I just assumed was to make sure that the old one still fit,” said Cox. “I showed up at this warehouse. Hanging in a bag on a railing was my suit that I recognized as the one I’d worn in the show before. While I was waiting, there was one computer-generated drawing on the wall of some other superhero.”

Cox went on to explain that he initially thought the costume looked cool. Then he took a closer look and saw it was actually Daredevil.

“I was looking at it, like “Oh, that guy’s cool.” And then I looked more carefully, and I was like, “Wait, that guy’s me,” Cox said. “It was a rendering of this gold and red suit, and I was like, “Oh my God, that is so cool.” It’s such a great homage to some of the earlier Daredevil runs. I got goosebumps thinking about this moment, putting it on, and the fans’ reaction.”
