Love, Death + Robots Scores Fourth Season Renewal

Netflix has officially renewed its acclaimed adult-animated anthology series Love, Death + Robots for a fourth season. The renewal announcement comes more than two months after the series debuted its nine-episode third season, which has been nominated for two Emmys: Outstanding Short Animated Program and Outstanding Sound Editing.

Love, Death + Robots Vol. III featured the voices of Chris Parnell, Troy Baker, Elodie Yung, Mackenzie Davies, Joel McHale, Seth Green, Gabriel Luna, Rosario Dawson, Dan Stevens, Joe Manganiello, Christian Serratos, and Jai Courtney. One of the episodes was directed by David Fincher.

A reimagining of the 1981 animated sci-fi film Heavy Metal, this Emmy-winning adult animated series is aimed at adults with stories that go across every genre from science fiction, comedy, fantasy, and horror.

“Terror, imagination, and beauty combine in new episodes of Love Death + Robots which stretch from uncovering an ancient evil to a comedic apocalypse, telling startling short stories of fantasy, horror, and science-fiction with trademark wit and visual invention,” reads the synopsis.

The first two seasons featured the voices of Chris Parnell, John DiMaggio, Christine Adams, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Nolan North, Samira Wiley, Elodie Yung, Jennifer Hale, Sebastian Croft, and Michael B. Jordan.

Love Death + Robots has been in development since the late 2000s. Executive producers are David Fincher (Mindhunter) and Tim Miller (Deadpool), along with Jennifer Miller and Joshua Donen.
