Loki Season 2 Production Start Date Set for Late Spring

Loki Season 2 production has an official start date as Disney’s future Marvel Cinematic Universe plans continue to come into view.

According to Production List, production is scheduled to start this late spring on June 6 in London. The new installment of the Disney+ series is expected to be directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who recently helmed the Moon Knight series. The duo will be replacing Kate Herron, who, according to the said listing, will still remain on the project as its producer.

Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki Season 1 featured the return of the God of Mischief as he gets arrested by the Time Variance Authority due to the damage he had done with the timeline. The second season will once again be led by Marvel Cinematic Universe vet Tom Hiddleston.

Season 1 also starred Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Renslayer, and Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. So far, Wilson and Mbatha-Raw are the only ones confirmed to return for the next season,

Season 1 hails from head writer Michael Waldron and director Kate Herron, who both served as executive producers. All six episodes are now available for streaming on Disney+.
