New Moon Knight Poster Shows Off the Mysterious Scarab

The first two episodes of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series Moon Knight are out now, and in celebration, Marvel has released a new poster for the series. This new poster showcases more of the mysterious scarab that seems to be central to the plot of the show.

The new poster is fairly minimalist, with the golden scarab beetle item sitting in the middle of the frame. The amulet was first introduced in the first episode of Moon Knight, and is an item that can seemingly be used to resurrect Ammit, an ancient Egyptian Goddess. The amulet itself acts as a compass, and is being sought after by Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) because he believes it will lead him to the tomb of Ammit.

“It follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life,” says the official synopsis. “Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.”

Moon Knight features Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac as he takes on the titular role of Steven Grant/Marc Spector, marking the fan-favorite superhero’s live-action debut. Joining him are MCU newcomers Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham as the voice of Khonshu, May Calamawy, and the late Gaspard Ulliel as Midnight Man.
