Locke & Key Ending With Season 3 as Netflix Unveils First-Look Photos

Netflix has announced that Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill’s supernatural fantasy series Locke & Key will officially be concluding its run with the upcoming third season. It is expected to make its debut later year, with the final ten episodes.

The announcement also came with the release of three official photos, which you can check out below, providing us with our first look at the final installment. It teases the Locke family’s last stand against evil.

“Once we began working on the series, we felt three seasons was the ideal length to bring the story of the Locke family and their Key House adventures to a satisfying conclusion,” Cuse and Averill said in a statement. “As storytellers, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to tell our version of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s incredible story exactly the way we wanted. We’re keeping the magical keys, though, for our own personal use.”

“In the coming-of-age supernatural series, after their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death,” reads the synopsis. “As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.”

Locke & Key is Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic book series of the same name. It currently stars Connor Jessup as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones as Kinsey Locke, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode Locke, Darby Stanchfield as Nina Locke, and Aaron Ashmore as Duncan Locke. Joining them are Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Griffin Gluck as Gabe/Dodge, Petrice Jones as Scot, and Hallea Jones as Eden.

Locke & Key is created and executive produced by Carlton Cuse (LostBates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), who are also serving as showrunners. Executive producers Lindsey Springer, David Alpert, Rick Jacobs, Ted Adams and David Ozer along with Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti.
