HBO Exec Teases House of the Dragon Season 2

Even though the first season of HBO’s highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon hasn’t aired, the company is already thinking about a second season. Speaking to Variety, HBO/HBO Max chief content officer Casey Bloys said that it would be a “pretty good bet” that another season of the show would be granted by HBO.

“If you’re betting on whether we’re going to do a second season, I think it’s probably a pretty good bet,” Bloys said. “Generally speaking, we usually let something air and see how it does, but obviously, we’ll make preparations ahead of time to make sure we’re ahead of the game.”

As it stands, not much is known about the upcoming House of the Dragon, with the only information known is that it will tell the story of the Targaryens, who conquered and unified the realm of Westeros prior to the events of Game of Thrones.
